SPDR S&P MidCap 400 ETF Trust Profile
MidCap SPDR Trust, Series 1 operates as a unit investment trust. The Trust invests primarily in Common Stocks.
The Trust was created to provide investors with the opportunity to purchase a security representing a proportionate undivided interest in a portfolio of securities consisting of substantially all of the common stocks, in substantially the same weighting, which include the Standard & Poor’s Midcap 400 Composite Price Index (the S&P MidCap Index).
The Trust’s holdings include the 400 stocks in the S&P MidCap 400 Index, which is designed to capture the price performance of the middle capitalization segment of the U.S. publicly traded stock market.
