KRBL Limited, together with its subsidiary, KRBL DMCC, principally deals in agriproducts in India, the Middle East, and internationally. The company’s products are sold under various brand names like: India Gate, Doon, Nur Jahan, Bemisal, Lotus and Aarati, and India Gate Classic.
Segments
The company operates in two business segments: Agri and Energy
Agri: The Agri business includes sale of basmati and nonbasmati rice, along with by-products - rice bran oil, de-oiled cake, and furfural oil. The company also sells seeds and pulses.
Energy: This segment generates power from wind turbine and husk based power plant. It operates three power plants: 10.5 0 power plant in Dhuri (Punjab): Dhuri plant generates power from Husk (a by-product of rice); 3.5 megawatts power plant in Ghaziabad (U.P.). The plant is solely used for captive consumption resulting in significant cost saving and leading to enhanced margins; and 12.5 megawatts Wind power generation plant in Dhulia, Maharastra.
